Kelsey and Zach’s wedding on March 28th at Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard was the kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.
There’s something about Terrain that already feels a little magical. The mix of glass, greenery, and soft natural light makes everything feel warm and intentional without trying too hard. But what really made this day stand out had nothing to do with the space and everything to do with them.
From the very beginning, the day felt calm. Not rushed, not chaotic, just steady and full of quiet anticipation. Kelsey and Zach chose to share private vows, and it was one of those moments where time seemed to slow down. No audience, no pressure, just the two of them saying what mattered most. Being trusted to witness something that personal is never something I take lightly.
The entire day carried that same feeling. Thoughtful. Grounded. Real.
There were so many little moments that stood out. The way Zach looked at Kelsey like he already knew how lucky he was. The way Kelsey just settled into the day, fully present, taking it all in. The kind of connection you don’t have to pose or prompt because it’s already there.
And then there were the people surrounding them. You could feel it immediately, this deep sense of support and love from everyone in the room. Not just excitement, but genuine care. The kind of family and friends who show up fully and mean it.
As the day moved into the ceremony and then the reception, everything just flowed. Laughter, a few tears, a packed dance floor, and those in-between moments that always end up meaning the most. A hand squeeze. A quiet conversation. A quick glance across the room.
That’s the stuff I’m always watching for.
Weddings like this aren’t about perfection. They’re about connection. About being present. About letting the day unfold in a way that actually feels like you.
