Whether this is your first professional session or you’ve done this before, my goal is to make the entire experience feel easy, comfortable, and fun from beginning to end.
A non-refundable retainer is required to officially reserve your session date and time. Your booking is not complete until both the retainer and signed contract are received. The remaining balance is due by the date listed on your invoice.
Please note that retainers are non-refundable, sessions may be canceled if final payment is not received on time, and payment plans may be available if discussed ahead of time.
Before your session, we’ll go over all the details together including location information, outfit guidance, timing, lighting, your vision for the session, and any special requests or ideas you may have. You do not need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I promise I’ll guide you through everything.
When it comes to outfits, the best choice is always something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and like yourself. Avoid neon colors and large logos when possible, and try coordinating colors instead of matching exactly. Neutral, earthy, and timeless tones photograph beautifully. Make sure clothing is wrinkle-free and fits well, and bring clean shoes if full-length photos are planned.
For seniors, bring a variety of outfits that feel true to you. Casual, dressy, sporty, trendy — all of it helps tell your story. Feel free to bring jerseys, uniforms, letterman jackets, instruments, hats, jewelry, or anything meaningful to your hobbies and personality.
For family sessions, coordinated outfits work beautifully without needing everyone to match perfectly. Layers and textures photograph wonderfully and add dimension to your images.
For sports sessions, bring full uniforms whenever possible along with clean gear and any extras you’d like included such as gloves, bats, medals, balls, or smoke ideas we may have discussed.
A little preparation goes a long way before your session. Stay hydrated, get some rest the night before, and avoid trying brand new hairstyles or spray tans right beforehand. Natural makeup photographs beautifully, but feel free to go more glam if that feels like you.
Sessions with me are relaxed and laid back. There will be posing, movement, laughing, and probably a few awkward jokes from me along the way. Kids do not have to behave perfectly. Teens do not have to love every second. Dads usually leave saying, “That wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected.” The best photos usually happen in the in-between moments anyway.
Outdoor sessions may need to be rescheduled due to weather or unsafe conditions. If that happens, we’ll work together to find a new date. If someone is sick or there’s an emergency, please reach out as soon as possible.
Your gallery will be delivered digitally within the turnaround time discussed at booking. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll be able to download purchased digitals, order professional prints and products, share your images with family and friends, and choose favorites for additional edits if included. Please make sure to back up your images after downloading them.
Every image delivered is professionally edited in my signature style. Additional edits may include background cleanup, skin retouching, sports effects or smoke, object removal, and creative enhancements. Some advanced edits may require an additional fee.
Most importantly, please don’t stress about being “perfect.” You do not need perfectly behaved children, perfect confidence, or perfect weather to create meaningful photographs. Some of my favorite images have come from the messy, chaotic, beautifully real moments.
Just show up as yourselves. I’ll take care of the rest.
